This region was once travelled by the local infamous “lotri” (mountain thieves), from which the mountains and the river were named after. In these regions, seemingly untouched by time or age, live people who carry themselves following the Dacic ways. Here, in the heart of the Iezer Mountains, people carry names with historical resonance, attested by hundreds of years.
